Cricket Banquet 2009 at Muckleshoot Casino
We (myself, Nicole and Kim) arrived at the Muckleshoot Casino with our friends Dana and Jen at around 6:30pm. We took some time to discuss our scouting objectives before we went into the banquet.
We had a blast and it was great to see so many old friends and equally wonderful to make new friends as well. As for the awards ceremony, though we weren’t able to stay for the whole event, I’m hoping to connect with the banquet committee to request a list of the categories that were acknowledged during the evening. Nevertheless, all of the teams were present to represent their team spirit. Chhiihhooo!!
The layout of the ballroom was very nice. There were large circular tables beautifully decorated all throughout the ballroom and a great feast of a buffet lined the outer walls. The ballroom was nicely lit and there was a nice section in the middle of the room set aside for all of the beautiful trophies. Also, several Faifeaus were seated and served at the front of the ballroom. The atmosphere was very lively with at least 300 people in attendance. Although I didn’t make it to the buffet table (I’m on a post pregnancy diet lol), Nicole and Dana did and they said that the food was delicious!
As for discovering any male models, we found several candidates at the banquet and in the casino. Now it’s only a matter of whether or not they will contact us to take the opportunity of being featured in our T-Shirt project. Time will tell. :-)
All in all, I believe that it was another successful night of scouting.
Great job ladies!!
And stay tuned for our next scouting event everyone...

Up Next...Muckleshoot Casino Friday 8/14/09
So it's official. Our next scouting event will be this Friday 8/14/09 at the Muckleshoot Casino. This year the local cricket teams will host a banquet and we'll be there to search for Polynesian male models for our T-shirt line.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6pm. We may stay until 9pm or later. Hopefully there will be a good showing and we'll find some real gems or at least diamonds in the rough. ;-) Stay tuned...

Snoqualmie Casino Fun Time and Katchafire Concert
On Friday, August 7th, we (ladies) arrived at the Snoqualmie Casino at around 9:30pm. We greeted several friends who informed us that the opening act, Natural Vibrations, was just about to begin their performance. However, since it was mine and Becca's first time at the new casino we wanted to stroll around and take in the scenery.
The setting is very cozey with lots of interesting light fixtures. It's not very crowded (like most casinos located closer to the major cities) which made it very comfortable to enjoy.
After a while we headed towards the Ballroom for the concert. Though we missed the opening act many people said how great the band was and that they would be purchasing their CD. I'll be sure to get a copy of my own as well.
As for the Katchafire concert, Nicole and Becca enjoyed great views in the crowd while I spent most of my time outside networking and mingling with new people. We had a perfect mix of business and pleasure. The ladies were able to check out the vibe inside the concert area and I was able to converse with many folks who were interested in the management company.
After the concert, we went to the club within the casino. The DJ was awesome! I really like the layout of the bar, dance floor and seating arrangements. There's room for everything.
I'd say 30 minutes or so passed before we noticed Logan (the lead singer of Katchafire) relaxing near the bar. So we made our way over to chat with him for a little while and to take a quick photo. Knowing how busy it can get while traveling on the road with fans, I didn't want us to take up too much of his time. Nonetheless, he was very nice and truly down-to-earth.
Afterwards, we thanked him for a great concert and wished him continued success. We'll be purchasing our copies of the newest Katchafire CD because they're definitely one of the best reggae bands we've ever heard. You should get your copy soon too. ;-)
After a few more hours of dancing and mingling, we headed home satisfied about the evening's results...establishing great business and personal connections.
Great job ladies!
